X-Men: First Class is a comic book featuring the original team that is made up of such mutants as Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast, and Jean Gray. There is a film coming out based on these comic books, and the premise of the movie is that of a prequel to the first X-Men film. This one centers around the relationship that Professor Charles Xavier had with Magneto before they become arch nemeses. They were the closest of friends and the movie attempts to explore this relationship, as they discover their powers for the very first time.

Fans of the comic book will be happy to know that in the movie X-Men: First Class, there are many original mutant faces that will be appearing, as well as some new ones. They will be fighting together to stop a threat that is greater than any other the planet has faced. While trying to fight to stop this threat, the rift between Professor X and Magneto begins to grow, separating the brotherhood of mutants from the X-Men in a battle that fans will enjoy watching.

The release date for this movie has been set for June 3rd, 2011. Many believe that the film will stay true to the plot line of the comics in many ways. The original comic series of X-Men: First Class was only 16 issues, a short-lived yet nonetheless important period in X-Men and Marvel comic history. The film which is based on the comic book series is highly anticipated and promises to offer enough action sequences and plot turns to keep viewers on the edge of their seats the entire time.

The early X-Men comic book issues introduced us to Magneto and his brotherhood of Mutants. In this brotherhood you find Mastermind, Quicksilver, the Toad and the Scarlet Witch. These early comics were based on the theme of good versus evil and included storylines and themes that made social comment on prejudice and racism. Evil was given a human face with Magneto. His character was said to have survived Nazi concentration camps only to have developed a hate for all normal men. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were gypsies. Mimic was the only new member of the X-men, but he soon left after his temporary loss of power.

The comic series was given rejuvenation in 1969 and two new characters were introduced. Havok and Polaris, originally known as Lorna Dane, became regulars in the series. These later editions did not sell well and Marvel stopped production of new stories in issue number sixty six. A reprinting of the older comics went ahead as issues number sixty seven through to ninety three.

Giant Size X-men issue one was released in 1975. A new team was introduced and was featured in the new issues of the X-men beginning at issue number ninety four. The new team was very different to the original. We find the team is older and there is a greater diversity of cultures represented. Each has a varying philosophical belief as well as their unique mutant powers. All team members know their powers and many are already experienced in combat. Team members include Colossus from the Soviet Union, Storm from Kenya, Banshee from Ireland and the most famous of all Wolverine from Canada. The character of Wolverine became the most popular X-men of all time, based on comic sales. We also saw appearances by Polaris and Havok. At this stage Chris Claremont is the writer for the series and he became the longest running contributor to the comic series. The series won critical acclaim. At this time the Proteus Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga are produced. We see characters introduced that include Kitty Pryde and Mystique and Moira MacTaggert and her genetic research facility on Muir Island.

The X men series as a cartoon strip was very popular when it came out made by the man who revolutionized comic book heroes in the Marvel comic book collection series, Stan Lee. These are just a few of the characters that have entered our world and will stick around for a while as long as the kids love them and they save the girl and the world at the end of the show. The X men was also a popular movie which has been made into three movies to date which is not including the Wolverine movie which was about one of the characters named Wolverine. Each of the characters in the X men series had special powers which were sometimes good and sometimes bad depending on the character and their temperament.

As usual all of the hot head characters who would rather look for trouble than improve their gifts from mutation who are the ones that turn to the bad or evil side. All of the good characters except for Wolverine are relatively calm and collected because they are in a school for the mutants run by the leader of the X men Xavier. The bad guy Magneto who has the power to bend metals and move anything metal is up against the leader of the good guys who can look into your mind and do telepathy. With other crazy people that can walk through walls and turn air into fire and ice there is some great battle of wits as well as powers is this great movie based on the cartoon strip.

Stan Lee was a marvel at designing and creating characters and super heroes which have keep people entertained since the early 1960s. Selling off the rights to his comics to make marvel movies out of was a great idea and something that should secure the name Marvel for many years onwards.

Stan Lee in his usual go get them super hero form started the X men as a base of unusual characters that are all drawn together with a common cause. They all have unusual powers and special abilities which can be used to help others or to create chaos. Split into two groups the good guys need to fight the bad guys who are trying to take over the world. The people of the world do not like these new breed of super heroes because the bad guys are making the good guys also look bad. The people of earth class them all as mutants who are not welcomed on the earth. In one way the people are right and the people with special powers are mutants only they are the next step on the evolutionary ladder. Their powers can be powerful and do things that only the imagination could really think to do like moving metal with your thoughts or using your body as a shield.

In the good guys side the leader of the X men is a professor who takes in all the children mutants to help them better understand their powers which should be used for good, not evil. The other side of mutants are the bad guys who would like to over through the American government because they know that a mutant war is going to begin. Wolverine is one of the main characters in the comic book which turned movie. He is nearly death proof and can repair his own skin plus many years ago the Nazi’s put special indestructible metal in his bones so that he has claws like a beast that pop out of his skin to be used like knives. The other mutants are naturally born like the little guy who has a tongue like a toad or the good guy that can turn everything to ice. Some guys can change the weather and other can shoot poisonous darts at other people. There are many different mutants in the X men by the end of the story but not all of them will survive the whole tale. Some of the good guys and the bad will die during the long struggle and raging war and this will keep happening until one side either good or evil will dominate the mutants and possible the humans too.

The x men have made it big not only in Hollywood but off the screen too. Toys and other merchandise like posters, models, figurines and other collectables. There are still a lot of these goods coming out on the shelves and Christmas time has just proven the popularity of the original comic book creation. There are cartoons to watch, the comic books to buy or you can see one of the several movies including the latest one with wolverine featuring the great actor Hugh Jackman. This movie in itself was a huge success just from the devoted fans of the entire X men phenomenon.

The young kids love to dress up as their favorite X men character and run around the house doing good for all mankind otherwise they are doing evil for their parents. You can but the wolverine suit from just about any major retailer or department’s store that has well stocked children’s or toys section. The other costumes are not hard to make if you cannot find them in the stores anywhere. Some of the heroes do not even need a costume which would be great to save those few extra dollars.

Just grab some popcorn and a few soda drinks and your night of action and adventure fantasy will begin. The X-men Chracters: Who is Cyclops

Cyclops is a character in the X-men mutant universe who is capable of concentrating a beam of focused optical blast from his eyes. He is forced to wear specialized glasses made of ruby quartz which help to prevent the blasts from penetrating the unique composition of the glasses. He is also known as Scott Summers and was the very first X-man recruited by Charles Xavier. He is also the leader of the field team of X-men who go out on missions. He is the most enthusiastic X-man which dreams of human and X-men equality and strives to make it a reality. The big problem is that everyone else does not see the world how he does and this makes it difficult to help others.

Scot has a nickname of Slim, which is usually called by either of his two wives while they were alive. He is a widower to Madelyne Pryor and Jean Grey. Madelyne Pryor is actually a clone of Jean Grey and had a son with Scott. The X-men world is full of alternate realities and Scott was a large part of most of them. The big difference in most of the alternate realities is that he has different children and those include: Marvel Girl, X-Man, Ruby Summers, Cable and Stryfe who are all endowed with mutant powers. The variations of the character change over time and his physique gets more muscular with the newer variations.

The Most Notable X-Men in the Series

The X-Men series is one of the great American comics that are distributed by Marvel comics and is now acquired by Disney. The series started in 1963 with the X-Men Number One comic which has been a hit ever since. The storyline chronicles the lives of mutants with extraordinary abilities that can be used for good and evil. The most important thing about the series is the fact that there are very notable characters on both sides of the conflict. Even the normal’s (plain humans) are part of the conflict as they do not understand the powers that have been granted to the X-Men during the chaos of the world. It is important for the good and evil X-Men to figure out what they are doing.

The most notable X-Men are those who are focused on the most. On the good side, Dr. Xavier trains and helps mutants learn how to use their abilities for good. He teaches several mutants that their powers where given to them for a reason and that they can choose to do good with their abilities. The other side has Magneto, a man who has gained the power to manipulate metals and electromagnetic forces while controling how they are used in the physical world. He gained his powers in early childhood but they manifested outrageously when his home was destroyed by rioters when he was older. He is not necessarily an evil mutant, but decided to go against the racism and bigotry that humans showed towards mutants.

Disney Is Now the Proud Owner of the X-Men

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Last week, Disney made a huge move by acquiring Marvel Entertainment. As even the most casual X-Men fan knows, Marvel Entertainment is responsible for the X-Men franchise, which means that Disney is know the owner of the X-Men, as well as Spiderman, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Captain America and many more. Because Marvel Entertainment is such a powerhouse of a company (now more than ever thanks to the ongoing success of all their superhero movies, which are now only successful once, but are also successful throughout the entire series that is released), it cost Disney four billion dollars to buy the company. The irony of Disney buying Marvel is that it occurred literally days after the company celebrated seventy years as a successful independent company.

So, why did Disney make the purchase, and why did Marvel allow it? Well, while Marvel has had a very successful run as an independent company, they aren’t idiots, and given the fact that most analysts considered this to be a generous offer from Disney, it makes sense why they took the deal (even though it did happen at such an ironic time). From Disney’s side, the deal made great sense as well. Not only do they get to harness the creative staff of Marvel, but they also get the rights to over five thousand different Marvel characters. Although some of the characters who have already been in movies have contracts with other large media companies, when you take into account that there are over five thousand Marvel characters and only a tiny portion have made it to the big screen, Disney has a lot of potential to do a lot with these characters.
